Cross Project linking & Filtering

What Jira can’t show you ?

Jira is great—for managing work, But once you're handling multiple projects or teams, the cracks begin to show:

  • Difficult to track dependencies across projects

  • Switching dashboards to piece together status updates

  • Linked issues exist, but they’re hidden and disjointed

  • No unified visibility for stakeholders

Report X Brings It All Together

  • Filter across any number of projects using JQL

  • Create and visualize cross-project issue links

  • Build hierarchical views of work across teams

  • Share dynamic reports

Create a Cross-Project Filter

  1. Open Report X and go to Configure Filters

  2. Click "Switch to JQL"

  3. write your query
    Example:

    project in ("Team Alpha", "Team Beta") AND issuetype in (Epic, Story) AND status != Done
  4. Press Enter or click the Search icon

  5. Use the "Top-level Issue" dropdown to filter by:

    • Epic

    • Initiative

    • Feature

  1. In Table View or Card View, click the issue you want to link

  2. In the Jira issue window, click Link Issue

  3. Select a link type (e.g. blocks, relates to, is blocked by)

  4. Search by issue key, title, or project

  5. Once linked, return to Report X to see it reflected in the Table View or Card View

View the Hierarchy in Table View or Card View

In Report X’s Table View & Card View :

  • Track progress and completion %

  • Identify blockers or overdue dependencies

  • Navigate easily with project + issue type filters
