Contract Details

Overview

The Contract Details section has been enhanced to provide flexibility and control over how Jira fields are displayed. This feature allows users to customize which fields are shown and in what order they appear in the UI.

Where to Find This Feature

  • On the Pact Home page, navigate to the Details tab.

  • In the top-right corner, you’ll see the Contract Fields button.

  • Clicking this button opens a multi-select dropdown where you can manage the fields displayed.

Key Features

Customizable Field Selection

  • Click the Contract Fields button to open the dropdown.

  • Now Users can select Jira fields to display in the Contract Details section using a multi-select dropdown for the selected contract in the contract list.

Dynamic Ordering

  • The order of fields in the dropdown directly determines the rendering order in the UI.

  • Reorder fields easily by dragging and dropping them within the dropdown.
    Changes are applied instantly to the UI.

Field Removal

  • Remove any field individually by simply unselecting it from the dropdown.

Rich Text Field Popups
For rich text fields (such as Description and other long text fields), this feature enables:

  • Hover-to-view: Hovering over the field opens a popup window showing the complete content.

  • Scrollable content: The popup supports scrolling, allowing users to read long text without expanding the table.

How It Works

  1. Open the Contract Fields dropdown from the top-right of the Contract Details table.

  2. Use the multi-select dropdown to add desired Jira fields.

  3. Drag fields in the dropdown to adjust their order.

  4. The Contract Details UI will automatically update to reflect the new order.

  5. When hovering over a rich text field, a scrollable popup displays the full content.

  6. To remove a field, simply unselect it from the dropdown.
