Installation and Setup

Installing OKR Tracker takes a few minutes and one round of first-run setup. You install it from the Atlassian Marketplace, accept the requested scopes, and point it at the project where your OKRs will live. After that, the Objective and Key Result issue types are ready to use.

Installation Steps

1. Find OKR Tracker on the Atlassian Marketplace. Search for OKR Tracker in the Marketplace, or open it from your Jira instance under Apps → Explore more apps.

2. Install and accept the consent dialog. Review the requested scopes and confirm. OKR Tracker asks for storage:app, read:jira-work, write:jira-work, and read:jira-user, plus manage:jira-configuration used once during onboarding to create the issue types, custom fields, and link type. Your OKR data never leaves your cloud.

3. Confirm it in the Apps menu. Once installed, OKR Tracker appears in the Jira Apps menu. Opening it takes you to the OKR hub.

4. See the OKR Details panel on issues. On any Objective or Key Result issue, the OKR Details panel appears alongside the issue view — adaptive to whichever OKR issue type you're looking at.

5. Open OKR Settings for first-run setup. Go to Settings → Apps → OKR Settings, pick the project your OKRs will live in, then confirm or create the Objective and Key Result issue types. This is the one-time onboarding that uses manage:jira-configuration.
