# Connections

A connection is the authenticated link between SyncBridge and a Salesforce org. You can have multiple connections — one per org — and use them across any number of project bindings.

Key Concepts

Connections use OAuth 2.0 Client Credentials flow — no user browser redirect, no individual login. The connector authenticates directly to Salesforce using the Connected App's credentials.

Your Client ID and Client Secret are stored encrypted in Forge KVS and are never exposed to the browser. See Data Handling and Security for full details.

Before You Add a Connection

You need a Salesforce Connected App with Client Credentials Flow enabled. If you haven't done this yet, start there.
