Forge app for Jira Cloud

Most OKRs die in week two. Keep yours alive in Jira.

Run your Objectives and Key Results as native Jira work items, with a two-minute weekly check-in, automatic rollup and Monday reminders. The depth that native Goals leaves out, without a second tool.

Working With the Best in the World

Organizations worldwide rely on Optimizory apps to run their work inside Jira.

How it works

OKRs that live where the work happens.

No spreadsheets, no second login and no double entry. Plan in Jira, check in on the work item and report from the same data.

Native Jira work items

Run your OKRs as native Jira issues.

Objectives and Key Results are real Jira issue types, created with Jira's own create dialog and linked with Jira's own issue links. They sit next to the delivery work that moves them, so there is nothing to sync and nothing to reconcile.

  • Find any OKR with JQL, for example every At Risk Objective
  • Your Jira permissions, boards, filters and dashboards apply as they are
  • Key Results can pull delivery work from several projects
  • Works in Jira Software, Jira Service Management and Jira Work Management

Weekly check-ins

Check in weekly without leaving the issue.

Key Result owners submit a short check-in from the OKR Details panel on the work item. It takes about two minutes: the current value, a confidence level and a few lines on what moved, what is blocked and what comes next.

  • Confidence in Green, Yellow or Red, with progress % calculated for you
  • Each check-in is stored as an unchangeable snapshot that feeds a trend chart
  • Monday reminders go only to owners who have not checked in
  • Key Results with no movement for two weeks are flagged At Risk

Rollup & reports

Roll up a progress number you can defend.

An Objective's progress, status and confidence are never typed in. They roll up from its Key Results and recalculate every time a Key Result changes, so the number is right when leadership looks.

  • Weighted average rollup, with weights your admins control
  • Status and confidence derived from the Key Results, not set by hand
  • OKR dashboard with health tiles, charts and an OKR Summary gadget
  • Five reports, including Quarterly OKR, exportable to CSV, Excel and PDF

Trusted by teams using Optimizory apps

What customers say about our Jira apps and support on the Atlassian Marketplace.

Links Explorer

“This app is easy to view the Link relationships between Jira work items, especially the traceability report. I like this app design.”

Yong YangAtlassian Solution Consultant, Hangzhou Cloze Technology
Links Explorer

“Sent a request in for support and it was solved within hours, great product.”

David StoddardSenior Project Manager, L3Harris
RMsis

“The Optimizory support team were superb in providing us with prompt and helpful responses to our request for support (despite the time zone difference)!”

Zayn FojdarMultidisciplinary Scrum Master, Ultra Maritime
Links Explorer

“Being able to see up and down the chain of linked tickets has helped our users keep better track of their data relationship. Being able to easily jump to related tickets that are removed by 3 layers is so helpful. The tech support is amazing, they make sure you are taken care of.”

Links Explorer

“Managing large or complex projects in Jira can be overwhelming. Links Explorer helped us to break down complex projects into several manageable chunks specially the tree view, which makes it easy to identify dependencies and potential bottlenecks, leading us to improve our efficiency and project delivery.”

Ankit NegiSoftware Engineer, Suzuki Digital Private Limited
Links Explorer

“Vendor's support works very well - colleagues were keen to debug the issue in few live sessions (despite the fact that it seemed to be instance-specific issue) and to prepare improved plugin version that is proofed from further issues of that kind. Big thanks!”

Stanisław BiałowąsLinks Explorer customer
RMsis

“This is a very great product, engaged with JIRA closely, we can track the whole life cycle from requirement input, finalized to PRD, design tasks to implement it, test cases to verify, everyone in project can get a clear picture for the current status of requirement. Another important thing is the prompt and great technical support, really appreciate their professional support knowledge and skill, a quick and direct debug way via remote session is very helpful to resolve field issues, not only for one-time, each support is prompt and great!!”

Eason WangRMsis customer
RMsis

“This is a great product. We have over 70 users registered and live requirements data is also available online (intranet) using Confluence and JIRA. Projects with several thousand requirements are handled with ease. I started with v1.7.8 in 2014, having used early DOORS versions before that. All feature requests and bug reports have been received with enthusiasm by the technical support team and responded to promptly. I feel privileged to have contributed to its development. The spreadsheet-style presentation of data helps to make the user interface intuitive. Editing single requirements and sets is straightforward with useful bulk operations. For requirements analysis, maximum use is made of selectable field types for easy manipulation and review.”

Richard CurtisRMsis customer
RMsis

“Great product and great support...! We wanted a JIRA integrated requirements management tool that provided traceability and reporting throughout the development and test cycle and RMsis gave us exactly what we wanted. Some might think the UI is a bit 'spreadsheety', but in our organisation, this was actually a benefit providing familiarity for our users to begin using it with. We have made good use of the API and now have our automated tests updating RMsis giving us complete lifecycle tracking. Also for us, the fact it uses it own standalone database and doesn't follow the standard JIRA user license model, made procurement in a large organisation like ours much easier. We intend to use it on more projects in the near future.... Well done team, keep up the good work..!”

Simon OfficerRMsis customer
RMsis

“simply a great plugin + requirements great - even larger amounts (2000+) are handled smoothly + requirements great - create your own custom fields + quality great - I have not found a bug after two month + support wonderful - quick reply with all information, no email ping pong with typical nonsense questions - downside, more rich text options in requirement explanation would be great - downside, test cases have potential (link to versions and input) Great plugin, I would recommend it”

lesswire GmbHRMsis customer
RMsis

“I love this plugin. Installation is very easy, configuration is so simple and traceability is now well done with requirements, issue and test case. Some things are missed yet but Optimizory Technologies is very open and they answer everytime I suggested a feature, an improvement or a bug...and it's so nice to see our suggestions in a release.”

Mickael ThieventRMsis customer

“Really nice product - especially like the reports on the project page.”

FAQ

OKR Pulse is a Forge-native OKR app for Jira Cloud. It runs your Objectives and Key Results as native Jira issues and adds weekly check-ins, automatic rollup, Monday reminders and exportable reports. See What OKR Pulse does.

Native Goals cover the basics. OKR Pulse adds the depth layer Goals leaves out: a structured weekly check-in, true automatic rollup from Key Results, reminders that chase missing check-ins and reports you can take to a quarterly business review. See What OKR Pulse does.

Yes. Objective and Key Result are Jira issue types created through Jira's own create dialog and linked with Jira issue links. You can search them with JQL, add them to boards and dashboards, and automate on them like any other work item. See OKRs as native Jira issues.

An Objective's progress is a weighted average of its Key Results, and it recalculates automatically whenever a Key Result is edited, a linked work item moves or a check-in is submitted. Admins can change the weights. See Automatic rollup and confidence.

Every Monday, OKR Pulse sends a Jira notification to Key Result owners who have not checked in that week. If a Key Result shows no progress across two weeks of check-ins, it is marked At Risk and the Objective owner is notified. See Reminders and at-risk escalation.

All app data is stored in Atlassian Forge storage. Your Jira issues stay the source of truth for summary, assignee and status, and nothing is sent outside your Atlassian cloud. See Data handling and permissions.

OKR Pulse is free on the Atlassian Marketplace for any team size. See the pricing section.

Keep your OKRs alive past week two.

Install OKR Pulse for free from the Atlassian Marketplace and run your first quarter of OKRs inside Jira. Your OKR data never leaves Atlassian.
